Blackbirds and Red Apples is an original miniature painting, created by hand on a natural wood slice and inspired by the colour and tiny moments of life found in the garden.

A pair of cheeky blackbirds make the most of fallen apples in the garden. Painted at just 80mm diameter, the piece is full of tiny details that invite you to look a little closer.

The natural bark of the wood has been left visible, it's painted with acrylic gouache and then varnished with artist's archival quality high gloss varnish to protect it and the whole thing is finished with a hand-shaped copper wire hanger so the painting can be displayed on a wall.

It comes beautifully presented in its own gift box, nestled against a black insert, making it a special little treasure to keep or give.
