Sand Martins at Carolines

This piece is a swimmers-eye-view of a lake, named by wild swimmers as Carolines after the lady who first discovered it as a suitable place to dip. The lake is at an RSPB reserve, and they have constructed a nesting wall for Sand Martins. In the spring and early summer months it’s amazing to experience them swoop right over your head while you’re swimming.
