Chris at Memories Photography had created his own marketing materials and the results where somewhat inconsistent. They were very blocky and heavy using a lot of black, which resulted in a very masculine feel, when in actual fact, his market is mainly women in their 20s and 30s.
I was very conscious however, that because of his extremely active social media presence, the black feel was very much established, so I didn’t want to move too far away from that. Adding the heart and some warmer colours instantly made it younger and more appealing to women – it gives a nod to the happy, family service Chris provides and the emotional purchase made by his customers.
