February 19th 2017 was a very important day for the town of Tadcaster. It was the day the new bridge was ceremonially re-opened following extensive re-building after the floods of Christmas 2015.
I was commissioned by David Gluck of the Tadcaster & Rural Community Interest Company to design the celebration brochure. It had to reflect the place and be something people would want to keep as a memento. The time was tight to get it away to print and content was coming in throughout the design process, so I had to think on my feet and make adjustments accordingly. The result was great though and it went down very well with the local community.
David said: “In 2016 we commissioned Andrea to produce a commemorative e brochure for the re-opening of Tadcaster Bridge, following the destructive flooding of the previous year. Our specification was that it needed to be of the highest quality, unique and a keepsake for people to treasure. Andrea fulfilled our brief and more!
